Harold Wayne Walden

Harold Wayne Walden, age 84 of Boaz passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at his home. His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2026 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Walls Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Jeff Bennett will officiate his service. Pallbearers will be Jason Walden, Jacob Walden, Joshua Walden, Cole Walden, Chris Tarvin and Zachary Walden. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He is survived by his sons; Harold Brant Walden, Byron Neil Walden (Pam) and Shawn Walden (Candi), grandchildren; Zachary Walden, Kendra Roden (Ricky), Abigail Sullins, Jacob Todd Walden (Jenni), Joshua Wade Walden, Cole Walden, Jess Bailey (Logan) and Brandon Wayne Walden and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; Peggy Sue Webb, Barbara Kay Rowan and Ricky Jay Walden and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife; Nella Dean Walden, son; Lance Walden and parents; Ellie Jay and Nila Fay Walden and sister; Linda Bright. Today, we honor the life of Harold, a remarkable man whose greatest accomplishments were never measured by wealth or recognition, but by the love he gave, the sacrifices he made, and the legacy he leaves behind. Harold was a devoted man of God who lived his faith not only through his words but through his daily actions. His unwavering trust in the Lord guided every decision he made and provided strength through every season of his life. He led his family with humility, integrity, compassion, and quiet wisdom, always pointing those he loved toward faith, hope, and kindness. As husband, father, and grandfather, Harold loved with his whole heart. His family was his greatest treasure, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do to provide for them. Through long hours of hard work, countless sacrifices, and unwavering dedication, he ensured those he loved were cared for, protected, and encouraged. He never sought praise for his efforts; he simply believed that loving his family meant putting their needs before his own. Harold’s hand bore the marks of honest labor, and his heart reflected a lifetime of selfless service. He taught by example the value of hard work, perseverance, honesty, and faithfulness. Whether offering advice, sharing a laugh, lending a helping hand, or simply being present, he made everyone around him feel loved and valued. As a grandfather, Harold created cherished memories that will live on for generations. His hugs, stories, prayers, gentle guidance, and unconditional love became lasting gifts that his grandchildren will carry in their hearts forever. Though Harold’s earthly journey has come to an end, his legacy continues through the lives he touched and the family he so faithfully loved. His example reminds us that true greatness is found in serving others, loving deeply, working diligently, and walking faithfully with God. While our hearts grieve his absence, we find comfort in knowing that he is reunited with the love of his life, Nella and that he has heard the words every faithful servant longs to hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Harold will be deeply missed, forever missed, and always remembered.
